Sarah and Becky met in 1987 when Becky, having three
younger brothers, finally got a little sister. When their mother passed away,
she left behind oodles of fabric, yarn, and other craft supplies. Those
supplies sat fairly dormant, until one day Sarah designed a simple zipper bag,
and Becky thought it was pretty awesome. Suddenly all the fabric was once again
seeing the light of day as the sisters dug through the stash and created bag
after bag. Thus Legacy Scrapworks was born, and they went on a mission to find
more unclaimed fabric from estate sales and grandmothers' storage bins. They
have since branched out from their first humble bags, creating more elaborate designs, and playing with different bits of reclaimed and found materials.
